Welcome to my official website!

I, the creator of this website, have done extensive research on the habitat and life of the Carol.  This webpage is still under construction so not all my research is here  (just enough to turn into Joe Alfonso), but more on the life and times of the Carol will be coming!

These are the questions I have asked myself during my research, and now you may ask them too:

What's a Carol?

Hello, I am Carol.  I am the northern-most member of the Boland family.  Small in stature, I sport a brown crest with gold streaks and long plumes.  Red malar patches may appear in the summer season, accompanied by brown flecking on the face and arms.  I have an overall light peach coloration.

Where does the Carol come from?

I am a native of beautiful Lakeside, CA, a suburb of San Diego.  I lived there for 18 happy years, growing, learning, raising sheep...until one day it wasn't enough and I felt an innate desire to leave the nest and fly on my own.  I now live in more beautiful San Luis Obispo, CA where I am a third-year senior at Cal Poly

What are the behaviors of the Carol?

I tend to be active both day and night, so it isn't uncommon to find me sleeping wherever I sit down.  (Sorry Dr. V) However, there are a few things I will stay awake for...

Monty Python - The great pastime of the Carol, it takes up more time than preening.

Work...work...work... - Even wild animals like me must make a living.

Migration to Mexico  - I have been nicknamed "The Cold-footed Bitch Bird", so I can often be found in the tropics where I am much happier.
