Research Supervised:
- Summer 2003: Supervisied two Cal Poly undergraduates working on the Buchsbaum-Eisenbud-Horrocks
conjecture. Quite some progress was made on cyclic Gorenstein quotients
with restricted Hilbert functions.
- Fall 2002: Supervised two University of Michigan undergraduatess working
on the Lex-Plus-Powers conjecture for Hilbert functions. Several possible
combinatoric descriptions of the general conjecture were ruled out.
- Spring 2002: Supervisied a University of Michigan undergraudate doing beginning work on the Lex-Plus-Powers conjecture for Hilbert functions.
Technological Skills:
Experienced teaching and researching using the TI-82 and TI-83 Plus calculators,
the computer algebra system Macaulay II, and Mathematica.
Other Professional Activities:
- Referee for the Journal of Algebra.
- Referee for the Proceedings of the American Mathematical Society.
- Reviewer for Math Reviews.
- Thesis Committee Member for Haggai Elitzur, Spring 2003.
- Oral Preliminary Committee Member for Hai Long Dao, Spring 2003.

Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Spring 1999.
Societies:
- American Mathematical Society.
- Member of the Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences.
Activities:
I enjoy hiking, and camping with my lovely wife, playing basketball, lifting
weights, and generally being/working outside. Woodworking is my newest hobby,
and it partially satiates my desire to build things. I also attend a local
church where I help out in any way that I can.
