Commutative Algebra: Free resolutions, the extremal behavior of Hilbert functions and (graded) Betti numbers, generic behavior, Gorenstein rings.

    Experienced teaching and researching using the TI-82 and TI-83 Plus calculators, the computer algebra system Macaulay II, and Mathematica.

    Other Professional Activities:



    I enjoy hiking, and camping with my lovely wife, playing basketball, lifting weights, and generally being/working outside. Woodworking is my newest hobby, and it partially satiates my desire to build things. I also attend a local church where I help out in any way that I can.
