The ABI PRISM 377 DNA Sequencer automatically analyzes DNA molceules labeled with multiple fluorescent dyes. After samples are loaded onto a vertical gel, they undergo electrophoresis, laser detection, and computer analysis. Electrophoretic separation can be viewed on screen in real time.
