Mr. Merriam is responsible for the microbiology preproom and for the daily output of media, bacterial cultures, and equipment as needed for all microbiology laboratory sections. He maintains a large culture collection for both teaching and research use. Most media, reagents and stains are made in-house. John graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BS degree and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences at Cal Poly.
