kotas/pantaleoni
return to life in sf

I worked for a small firm called Kotas/Pantaleoni during my internship in San Francisco. This firm specializes in residential projects such as live/work units, single and mufti?family housing. They also do some commercial and retail projects and ate currently working on a high rise. Their projects are avant garde, using blight primary colors with free, open plans.

During my 5 1/2 weeks working with Kotas/Pantaleoni, I got the opportunity to see how a small firm operates? from the design process to the payroll process. Included in Kotas/1'antaleoni are the two partners: Jeremy Kotas, who got his degree from Berkeley, and Tony Pantaleoni, who got his degree from Cal Poly. There are also 4 co?workers among which two are also registered architects. This is a closely knit firm in which there are close, friendly working relationships.

My experience at this firm taught me more than I ever thought possible. I went on site visits, sat in on client meetings and office meetings. I corrected revisions on plans, drew a little using AutoCAD, drew perspectives and made study models for clients' visualizations. I am really thankful that I had this opportunity to increase my architectural and educational experience.
