Student Image Selection Process for the Cal Poly Home Page

The following selection criteria and process are used for choosing student images for display on the Cal Poly Home page:

  • Students whose images are displayed on the Cal Poly home page are selected from the PolyRep student ambassador / student alumni group.
  • College, major, and home town information are not considerations in the selection process and are included after the image selection process is completed. These items are listed for purely human interest and feature value.
  • All the students featured on the Cal Poly Home page are required to sign an image and information release form giving Cal Poly permission to display their image, name, home town, and major.
  • Only students who currently belong to PolyReps are eligible to participate. PolyRep students are official representatives of Cal Poly. For more information on the PolyReps program or on becoming a PolyRep, see http://polyreps.calpoly.edu/.
  • Background imagery is selected purely for visual appeal. If you have suggestions for future background imagery, please contact polynews@calpoly.edu.
  • The Home page main images are updated annually.
