Dr. Fahs, who joined the department in 1983, is a professional communication consultant as well as the department's business communication specialist. In addition to his classroom duties, he designed and directs the Communication Studies internship program. His special interests are training and development and organizational communication. Dr. Fahs is a three-time winner of the department's Teacher of the Year award, most recently in 2007. He was also a 1994 College of Liberal Arts Honored Teacher, and in 2008 received the University Distinguished Teaching Award.
