Dr. Blau, joined the department in Fall 2008, having previously taught at Michigan Technological University and Southern Illinois University. He teaches the department's performance of literature courses, Intercultural Communication, and humanities courses in the university's Peru Study program. His research focuses on the intersection of performance and cultural studies, and his work has been published in Encyclopedia of Activism and Social Justice, Popular Music and Society, Perforum, and Revista Transcultural de Musica.
