Nate Dunn, Class of 2001, is currently a civil rights attorney for the Walnut Creek firm of Loughrey & Woelfel. Nate spent his first year after graduation on assignment in Ghana for the Peace Crops, before beginning his law degree at Wake Forest University. While in Ghana, Nate met a young community health organizer, Theo Yakah, who Nate urged to continue to continue his education. Theo not only finished his bachelor's degree at the University of Ghana, but with a little help from Nate, he applied for and was accepted into the Communication Master of Arts program at Wake Forest. Theo's story is told in a recent issue of Old Gold and Black, the Wake Forest student newspaper. Needless to say, Nate figures prominently in the story.
