We have two contests going on at this time, the Cal Poly history Trivia
Challenge and Cheer Contest. Both yield prizes
and both are open to the public and to Running Thunder Members.

The trivia challenge is a set of five questions about Cal Poly and
the historic developments up to the modern University that we know
today. Each question gets progressively more difficult. Each question
has a one word answer that must be entered in lowercase
and spelled correctly. If you get all five questions correct there
will be a screen at the end that will give you a password and description
of how to redeem your prize! You do not have to be a Running Thunder
member to play this game but you will be required to come to the next
meeting to claim your prize. After a winner the questions will be
changed. Some resources that you may wish to peruse before attempting
the contest are; Alumni Association,
Athletics, Kennedy
Library, RT History or the University
Archives. Good Luck! Here are the answers to the old
trvia challenge, currently a new set is posted without winners.

The cheer contest is open to all people and we will be presenting
a prize for this one as well. Each month (depending on the number
of entries) the Running Thunder Executive Board will vote on the best
cheer or song submitted for that time frame. You are free to enter
original works or anything not already in the Cheer
Database. All entries will be admitted to the database and Running
Thunder members will be given 2 points toward the end of the year
raffle for additional prizes. There is no limit on the number of times
that you may enter. Please refer to the Notation Key at the bottom
of the page for percussional elements.
