Individualized Course of Study Concentration (ICS)

This is only for:

  • Nursing
  • Physician Assistant
  • Occupational Therapy

A specific curriculum is developed according to the profession in which you are interested and the professional school chosen. Please make an appointment to see Kristi Weddige, Health Professions Advisor, in the College of Science and Math Advising Center in 53-219 first and then Doctor Proctor for final approval.


Exercise Science and Health Promotion Concentration (ESHP)

This is for Health Care Professions including:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Chiropractic Medicine
  • Naturopathic Medicine
  • Podiatric Medicine
  • Dentistry
  • Medicine
  • Clinical Exercise Physiology
Important!

If you are interested in one of these professional programs, the following curriculum should be followed:

Take Entire ESHP Concentration Clinical Exercise Science Track EXCEPT:

  • Take CHEM 127 in lieu of Chem 111
  • Take Bio 161 in lieu of Bio 111
  • Take Phys 121 in lieu of Phys 104
  • Take Chem 316 in lieu of Chem 312*

In addition, most professional schools require the following science courses:

  • CHEM 128, CHEM 129 (8 units)
  • CHEM 317, CHEM 318 (8 units)
  • PHYS 122, PHYS 123 (8 units)
  • BIO 162 (5 Units)
  • MCRO 221 (4 units)

*Students are advised to research graduate schools early in which they intend to apply to identify the specific courses required by those institutes.
