Granger has a bachelor's degree in music performance from the University of Oregon. She studied flute with Richard Trombley, Alexa Still and Jim Walker, and appeared in masterclasses with Robert Stallman, Leone Buyse and John Solum. She is a former member of the Rogue Valley Symphony, Rogue Valley Opera and Ballet orchestras, and Arlington Philharmonic Orchestra. She is principal flute for Symphony of the Vines, and an active orchestral musician with local groups including Cuesta Master Chorale, Cal Poly faculty recitals, musicals, and as a soloist with the San Luis Chamber Orchestra. Her article on intonation and vibrato has been published in the Flute Focus journal.
