The Department

The Mathematics Department offers classes ranging from Algebra I through graduate courses. There are approximately 150 sections of math classes each quarter with an average enrollment of 30 per class. The faculty consists of approximately 35 permanent faculty, 15 temporary (both full-time and part-time), and 15 graduate teaching associates. The Mathematics Department does not offer any courses in statistics or computer science. Applicants interested in teaching in those areas should contact the Statistics Department or the Computer Science Department.

Cal Poly is a nationally ranked, four-year, comprehensive public university.
