New York
Many people who haven’t been to the United States of America know New York as the city in which they filmed ‘Friends’. New York is one of the greatest cities if not THE greatest city of the world! It is called the city that never sleeps and how true that is! At any given time is New York, there is activity going on, business deals being made and life happening in general; the New York stock exchange defines the economy of the world in many ways. You will never feel it’s ‘too late’ to do anything or be anywhere. There are people of all races living in New York; you will see many Asian Indian taxi cab drivers and shop owners, many Japanese people going about their everyday business and others who call the Big Apple their home.
New York’s number one attraction is (and has been for many centuries) the Statue of Liberty. If you’d like to get a closer look at it, you can always take a helicopter tour around the head! Yeah, go to http://www.nytours.us/ for more information on that and many other topurs such as dinner cruises, daytime cruises, airplane tours and even carriage rides! One great way to see New York (and easy on the pocket as well) is from the top of a Double Decker bus. If you are a tourist in America, and in New York, you may want to club your trip with Niagara Falls, Philadelphia and Washington DC, which are all easily approachable from NY. That’s not meaning you’d get fed up with New York quickly, you can spend years exploring this city.
The city’s famous ‘Central Park’ is a great place to relax on a hot day – maybe have a picnic and show the kids the Central Park Zoo, or maybe laze around with your partner or spouse.
New York is an artistic city in many ways, as is any city that has such a zest for life and living. You will find many art galleries and photo exhibitions to visit in New York. So if you are the arty kind you’d fit right into NY. On the other hand, this city has such diverse faces to show every individual that there will always be something that satisfies his or her liking, not just the arty types! This is one city where you cant complain about the nightlife – all kinds of pubs and clubs to select from – in fact there are places called the under twenty-ones, where you can get in even if you are sixteen! New York is also famous for its stand up comedy clubs and the awesome bowling alleys. Coming back to the New York nightlife, you can choose from Latin clubs, rock oriented gatherings, Jazz ball rooms and whatever else you can think of!
Oh, and don’t forget to see the Empire State Building, which was once the tallest building in the World. Finally, you may want to see the memorials that stand in place of the World Towers, which stand in remembrance of the nine eleven attacks in memory of those who died on the day.
