Synopsis

The sponsor provides support to bring educators from abroad to university campuses in Germany for guest teaching assignments.

Deadline Note

Prior to submitting the application, applicants should contact the Head of the Department/School/Centre in which they propose to undertake the research to discuss the proposed project and obtain a list of the research priorities for the proposed faculty.

Synopsis

Applications are invited from researchers outside Monash University, in any discipline with two to eight years of post-doctoral research experience, and with demonstrated research outcomes at international level. The Fellowships are tenable only at Monash University and it is expected that most of the time will be spent at the relevant department/centre. Up to four successful applicants will be awarded a fellowship.

Synopsis

The Fellowships are intended to foster existing academic research and scholarly or creative activities within university departments and institutes. Ideally a Fellow's proposed work will closely complement existing programmes in the host department.

Deadline Note

Applications may be submitted anytime throughout the year. However, to ensure that a request is considered for a particular trustee meeting, proposals must be received by August 1, November 1, February 1, and May 1st.

Synopsis

The sponsor provides to qualified tax-exempt organizations including educational organizations with specific, identifiable needs primarily in these areas: early childhood education and development, technology and communication projects that advance learning opportunities, and sport or athletic programs that concentrate on underserved youth.

Applicants are required to contact the Head of the proposed host Department or School no later than 8 August 2008. The Head of Department or School will inform applicants by 22 August 2008 whether they will be competitive and supported this round. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain signatures prior to the closing date from the Head of the proposed host Department or School and the proposed mentor. Unsigned applications received by the Research Office will not be considered. The closing date for applications to reach the research office is 12 September 2008.

Synopsis

The sponsor will be offering up to ten new Fellowships in 2009 to attract outstanding postdoctoral scholars to conduct full time research at the University in any of its disciplines. Tenure of the fellowships is three years, to doctoral graduates of no more than five years standing.
