The College of Science and Mathematics Advising Center provides academic advising services to all students in the college. These services include help with scheduling classes and developing long-range academic plans, career advising, information on university policies and procedures, special programming to facilitate student success, and referral of students to other campus support services.
The Advising Center maintains a working folder on each student which may include an evaluation of their progress toward their degree and any copies of paperwork filed with the university. We also have flowcharts and curriculum sheets by catalog year available for all of our majors, as well as other various university forms.
We also encourage each student to maintain their own working folder or Academic Portfolio that could include important documents, curriculum sheets, advising plans and other information that is needed to maintain timely progress towards graduation. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about the contents that should be kept in an academic portfolio.
