Research & Professional Development Committee

Responsibilities

The Research and Professional Development Committee shall:

(1) Make recommendations on University policies and procedures regarding scholarship.

(2) Provide advice and guidance regarding scholarship to the following: Kennedy Library, Information Technology Services, Cal Poly Technology Park, University committees, campus research centers and institutes.

Charges
  • Clarification of Provost report.
  • Review Academic Senate Constitution and Bylaws, online description of committees and membership, and any other relevant material on Academic Senate web site; report any changes or recommendations for changes in Fall 2008.
Meetings
 At least once per quarter.
Membership

Shall include at one voting General Faculty representative from each college and from Professional Consultative Services. The Academic Senate Chair is an ex officio, nonvoting member. The ex officio members shall be the Dean of Research and Graduate Programs or designee, and an ASI representative.
